Westport in Co Mayo was named the Best Train Station in Ireland at the annual Iarnród Éireann Best Station Awards (June 2013)
Westport is used to getting awards – the town won the Irish Times ” Best place in Ireland to live” competition . Westport came out on top in the four criteria which were: Staff helpfulness, staff appearance, station appearance and customer information.
