Galway City has plenty of good quality restaurants with many different cuisines to suit all budgets. These are some of our favourite places to eat in Galway City

Mc Donagh’s Fish & Chip Bar – Located in the heart of Galway City on Quay Street, this family seafood restaurant and fish and chip bar has been  tantalizing the taste buds of visitors and locals for four generations which has given them the reputation of the best sea food bar in Ireland.

McCambridges – above the food shop is a busy cafe style restaurant serving snacks and meals all day. Mostly a daytime destination where they do great daily specials and some great salads . All made on the premises using goods sold in the shop below. Be prepared to queue because bookings are not taken.

Papa Rich –  This asian style restuarant is very popular restaurant .Asian, Malaysian, Chinese and Thai are all dishes represented here . They have  a takeaway branch on the Headford Rd and the food there is just as good.

Martines Restaurant – Also located on Quay Street, Martines is a family run restaurant and wine bar.This restaurant is popular with locals and tourists alike but, despite its wide appeal, it is a focused on making sure its customers get nothing but the best.

Ard Bia at Nimmos – Over looking the River Corrib,  Ard Bia At Nimmos  offers a myriad of rustic Irish, New Zealand and Middle Eastern cuisine.Everything on offer is homemade, wholesome and hearty.

High Cafe  – is a Moroccan style restaurant serving Tagines and Kebabs as well as other faavourites such as Pizza and Burgers. Halal meat served. No alcohol – but you can bring your own. Good value meals. The chicken skewers are very good.

La Collina is an Italian restaurant in Salthill. Open for lunch and dinner – serving classic Pasta dishes and Pizza as well as Chicken Beef and Fish dishes.  Mid range prices , small restaurant so booking advised.
