All the main cities and towns are covered as well as many smaller villages and rural areas. It is surprising how far the Tesco delivery vans  will go.
If you register  here on the Tesco IE Website you can find out if your address is covered.

After you register – just click on the “Start Shopping” link an dif your address is covered in the delivery area – you will be able to continue shopping.
You can also register at one address and have shopping delivered to another addresses – such as a holiday home or a relatives address.

The online Tesco Store Locator never seems to be working. It seems you have to register with Tesco before it will work .  You Can Register Here

Arklow – County Wicklow

Arklow is County Wicklow’s biggest town and is  built around what was once an important local port.
The Irish name for Arklow is An tInbhear Mór, meaning the large estuary. Arklow was the location of one of the bloodiest battles of the 1798 Rebellion

For tourists and visitors there is a  small maritime museum on  St Mary’s Rdwhich features a model of the Titanic, some salvaged items from the Lusitania and an extraordinary model of a ship made from 10, 000 matchsticks.

Sailing in Arklow – at Arklow Marina, shower and toilet facilities are available on the east of the marina basin. Fresh water and electrical connections are available in the marina and on the pontoons. Diesel fuel is available from the dock on the South side of the river, whilst Bottled gas is available locally in the town.

Scuba Diving courses available in Summer

The Coral Leisure Centre in Arklow offers a state of the art Gymnasium, a 25m Swimming Pool and separate Learner Pool, Sauna & Steam Room, Indoor Sports Hall, Racquetball & Squash Courts.  Tel: + 353 (0) 402 23328

There is a Childrens Playground on Sea View Avenue, very close to the North Beach.

Arklow has  a white, sandy beach, but there are better ones 10km north to Brittas Bay or 7km south to the more sheltered Clogga Beach.
